Made in New York, New York
Raised by architects in Washington, DC, Ellen Van Dusen grew up knowing the importance of good design and form following function. In college, through a self-directed major at Tufts University, she studied the psychology of design and the brain's reaction to visual stimuli. After graduating, Ellen founded Dusen Dusen, a line of universally flattering apparel and home décor basics, driven by the hand-crafted prints she designs each season. Her inspiration is drawn from the far-flung and unexpected, like mid-century resort architecture, Italian industrial design and Scandinavian textiles, though it does not stop there. Dusen Dusen is designed and produced in New York City and redefining American-made one squiggle line at a time.
